Job Title: Apprentice Surveyor
I am a third year apprentice surveyor and have worked in the Capital Advisor, Residential Valuation and Central London sectors. I am now working within the Central London Leasing team.
I spent my first year within the Capital Advisors team where I assisted with a range of projects. Teams I have worked closely with include Financial Consulting, Equity Raising and Investment Advisory.
I spent my second rotation in the Residential Valuation Advisory team, where I have assisted with various loan security valuations, viability studies, valuation for acquisitions and account purposes. I have assisted on a range of valuations of large development schemes, residential tower blocks and high net worth single assets.
I am currently on my third rotation within the Central London Leasing team. I spent the first half of the year within the West End team and am now currently in the City team. This is allowing me to gain experience and exposure in both London markets. I have been responsible for the leasing of various buildings where I have been undertaking viewings, generating interest and making marketing material and schedules for clients. As well as this, under supervision from my supervisor, I have been negotiating terms.

- MRICS once I complete my apprenticeship
What made you decide on a career in property?
I wanted a job where I would be working in a team alongside many professionals and where I wouldn’t be stuck at a desk all day. I liked that I would be able to go on sight visits, client meetings and attend different networking and client events.
